New Set Complete! March 2021

Welcome to the completed new set for the Land of Ish. Previous videos demonstrated how we made the papier mache moon and star, and the seed that started the idea off in the first place...a found coconut hull, which I painted and imagined into this scene. In this video, I cover how I created the other elements in the overall set. Please use these techniques to build interesting environments for your room or classroom. Like this video and subscribe!

Papier Mache-Feb 2021

IWelcome to the Land of Ish and our journey to building a new set. Today, we focus our attention on my own technique for paper mache (or papier mache). In this video, we will build the star and the little basket beneath our hot-air balloon. I will also introduce you to how I will build the moon, which will require a hand-made armature. Please follow me if you'd like to learn how to build your own light, semitransparent, paper mache sculpture, or if you'd just like to check in and see how our new set is coming along.

While most of us have taken lots of photos, an understanding of basic composition principles will help you take more dynamic photos. This is the first in a series of videos on taking thoughtful and provoking pictures. This exercise also invites you to #noticethelittlethings, because sometimes there is magic happening right under our noses.
